Set up the Profit Application Service

You set up the Profit Application Service if you configure InSite on a server other than the Profit application server.

InSite communicates with Profit via the Profit Application Service. If you are using multiple Profit Application Servers, you can install the Profit Application Service on one of these application servers.

Because this internet traffic is encrypted, you must have an SSL certificate and you must make the Profit Application Service available via HTTPS (port 443). This may also be a different port address.

You use the Profit Application Service to communicate with Profit from the web server(s).

To install the Profit Application Service:

  1. Go to: ..\Program files (x86)\Profit\AFAS Windows\Kernel\Profit Site Deployment.
  2. Start the Profit Site Deployment tool.
  3. Configure the Profit Application Service.
