Enter personal details

When adding an input form, you can indicate whether the data of a logged-on user should automatically be entered in the form or whether a visitor is permitted to complete a form for someone else. You can also decide not to copy the data so that the visitor always has to enter it him/herself.

If a user that is logged on selects an organisation, this user can also complete a form for a colleague.

To copy personal details to an input form:

  1. Go to: General / In & OutSite / Input form / Input form.
  2. Open the properties of an input form or add a new one.
  3. Go to the tab: Extra.
  4. In Personal details, select whether and how you want to copy the personal details:
    • The visitor needs to enter these him/herself: in this case, you choose Do not copy, always complete manually.
    • Data is copied from the logged-on visitor and may not be changed: you choose Copy as fixed value from visitor logged in.
    • Data is copied from the logged in visitor and can be changed, the visitor can also register a colleague: Copy from logged-in visitor (completion on behalf of another is allowed).
  5. Click on: Finish.

To complete the form:

If a visitor now logs on to the site and opens a page with an input form, he/she indicates the person for whom he/she is completing the form. He can choose from 'Myself', 'Someone else' and possibly also 'A colleague'.

  • Complete for 'Myself':

If the visitor chooses 'Myself', Profit automatically enters the personal and organisation details for the visitor logged on. The visitor cannot change these fields here. If you have linked a dossier item to the input form, the dossier item is then submitted for the logged-on visitor.

  • Complete for 'Someone else'

If the visitor chooses 'Someone else', then the visitor completes the fields herself.

  • Complete for 'A colleague'

If the visitor chooses 'A colleague', Profit automatically enters the personal and organisation details for the selected colleague. The visitor can only choose this if he is logged on and has selected an organisation. If you have linked a dossier item to the input form, the dossier item is then submitted for the selected colleague.

On the input form, you have the option to change the personal details. If you are completing the form for yourself, you can use the Change data button to go to the My Data page. If you are completing the form for a colleague, this button opens the page with the contact data of the selected contact so you can change it (if you are authorised to do so).
