Update user groups based on a selection
User groups that are populated based on a selection should be refreshed on a regular basis. When you refresh the groups, Profit apgain applies the filter of the linked selections, thus refreshing the user groups.
You can also perform this action from the command line or from the Task Scheduler component in Profit Windows.
Example:
Employee De Jong with the job Branch Manager is moving to Management.
If the 'Management' user group is populated using a selection, you have to refresh this user group. Only then can De Jong also be part of this group.
It is recommended to have the user groups refreshed automatically using the AUTOGROUP command line option. Preferably, you should perform this action every night after the current Profit HR data are refreshed.
In addition, the Authorisation tool has two options for refreshing the user groups.
To update a user group using the Authorisation tool:
- Go to: General / Management / Authorisation tool.
- Go to the tab: Group maintenance.
- Use one of the following options:
- Open a group and close it again. The selection is reapplied to the group in question.
- Update all groups using Extra / Complete groups automatically.
