Description
You use the period table for the following functionality:
- Budgeting
When budgeting, for example, a ledger account you enter the annual budget and the period allocation. Profit automatically allocates the annual budget over the periods based on the period percentages from the periodic allocation table.
- Fixed assets
Profit writes off the same amount for fixed assets in each period unless you apply a periodic allocation table with a deviating allocation. You link the periodic allocation table to the asset group.
Procedure
- Add a periodic allocation table
You add periodic allocation tables to allocate an annual budget over periods or to allocate depreciations.
- Maintain period percentages
Once you have added a periodic allocation table, you can change the period allocation (the percentages).
