Disable automatic updates for the PCC

A user can automatically update the PCC if a new Update becomes available. The PCC checks in different situations if a new version is available. The user can decide when to update the PCC.

Note:

When transitioning from Update 6 to Update 8, the check for a new version does not yet work. After you install the PCC of Update 8 on your workstation, a notification is displayed for every new version of the PCC.

The administrator can disable the automatic updates, for example because applications are always rolled out centrally.

To disable the automatic updates, the following Windows environment variable must be set on the user's PC:

AFASDISABLEPCCUPDATE = 1
