Check for duplicate persons
When you add a person, Profit always checks if that person already exists.
Check for duplicate persons:
- Go to: CRM / Organisation/person / Organisation/person.
- Click on: New.
Profit launches the wizard for adding a person.
- Select Person.
- Click on: Next.
- In the Name field, enter the name of the person.
- Click on: Next.
Profit detects that the person already exists in the Profit database and will notify you about that.
- Determine how you want to continue:
- New person: The person is added, without any further checks. Note: This can result in duplicates!
- Display results: A new view appears showing possibly matching persons. Check whether the person you are trying to create, already exists. Click on the lines and pay special attention to the name and address data.
- Does the view show the person you wanted to enter? Click on Cancel.
- Does the view not show the person you wanted to enter? Click on Cancel.
- Cancel: You are returned to the input window.
You are now returned to the Add person window.
- Click on: Cancel.
