Configure 'ATV' based on work timetable
An employee can accrue 'ATV' entitlement through a work timetable, for example if the employee has a contract for 36 hours per week, but works 40 hours each week. This means that every week 4 WTR hours are accrued.
Description
In Profit you automate this by using a timetable cycle, in which you specify that a particular day part is used for the accrual of WTR.
If you link the above timetable cycle to an employee, then the employee will accrue 4 hours of 'ATV' every week.
Hours (parts of a day) that are marked as 'ATV' do not count for the calculation of the average number of hours per week. A day that only contains 'ATV' hours, does not count for the calculation of the average number of days per week.
Leave type
The WTR accrual is recorded using a separate leave type of the basic leave type Additional days off based on work timetable. You need to add this leave type to the CLA/term of employment. Profit uses this leave type to maintain the WTR balance per employee and the employee can use the leave type to take these WTR hours.
For this leave type too the WTR field in the properties of the employment type (in the CLA/term of employment) is important:
- Check box selected
The employee is entitled to 'ATV' on the basis of the basic entitlement of the 'ATV' leave type and on the basis of the work timetable. This ensures you can combine both. The entitlement based on the leave type and the accrual based on the work timetable are added together.
- Check box not selected
Employees do not have the right to 'ATV' on the basis of the basic entitlement that is recorded with the leave type. 'ATV' accrual will take place on the basis of the work timetable.
