Set up user image for response to all dossier items (dossier)
You can display an image for all responses to all dossier item types. You configure this in the view supplied as a default.
The default template supplied for this overview is Responses to client record. You can adjust the display of the page associated with this template and supplied as a default. You add the field for the image to it. The changes you make (new field added, sorting adjusted, filtering, etc.) apply to all pages and page parts that you base on this supplied view. The image is then visible in the overview of the responses to a dossier item.
Note:
Displaying images in an overview does affect the speed at which the pages appear. Bear this in mind! If performance is affected, you can decide to add only the image to responses to a part of the dossier item types.
To add the ‘Image’ field to an existing view of responses to a dossier:
- Open Profit.
- Go to: General / In & OutSite / Template.
- Open the properties of the appropriate template. In this example you open the Responses to client record template for InSite.
The page(s) based on this template determine which fields are shown in InSite in the overview of the responses to dossier items.
- Go to the tab: Pages.
The default page is Responses to client record. If you change it, this applies to all pages/page parts based on it.
- Select the page you want to add the image field to (or whose sorting or field layout you want to change), in this case the existing Responses to client record page.
- Click on the action: Adjust view to add the field to the current view.
- Click on Yes when asked if you want to create a draft of the page.
You now go to the data collection wizard. Leave the description of the page as it is.
- Click on: Next.
You see that the supplied page has a restriction on the number of characters in the Response field. That is because only the first 200 characters are shown.
- Add the Image field to the data collection fields. You can find this field under Image with silhouette.
The position of the field under Fields in data collection determines whether or not the field is displayed in the response overview of the list view in InSite. If Number of fields per line is set to ‘3’ in the list view and the Image field is on the fourth line, you do not see an image in InSite.
The exception to this is the Image field itself: Profit always displays it, regardless of its position here.
- If necessary, change the order of the fields in Fields in data collection.
- Click on: Finish.
- Click on Yes in the message about the speed of the page.
- Click on Yes when asked if you want to publish the draft.
- Click on: OK.
You add one or more image fields to the view of the page. This field is not in the view by default, because it can strongly affect the performance.

1. Add a new page for responses to dossier items in InSite
You create a new page with its own view.
You add the field to the new view. You add the new page with the image as a page part in InSite/OutSite for the dossier item type for which you want to show the image.
New InSite page based on the default page from the ‘Responses to dossier’ template:
- Open InSite in the Site management mode.
- Click on: New (for Page).
- Select Overview page.
- Select the Responses to client record template in Based on.
- In Description, enter a descriptive name that indicates the difference with the default page. In this example you call the new page Reacties bij dossier (met afbeelding).
In this example you are going to add the Image field to the template of this new page. If you intend to change the sorting or the filter for the new page, you can indicate this in the name. In addition, if you want to use certain views for certain dossier item types, you can also indicate this in the description. For example, Reacties bij dossier Actie versus Reacties bij dossier Supportincidenten (in the template for Responses to client record for OutSite).
- Click on: Add.
- Click OK in the message.
This message appears because you have not yet actually added the page to a dossier page in InSite/OutSite.
2. Add the Image field to new view(s) of responses to a dossier
You add one or more image fields to the new view of your new page. You leave the existing page (which you want to keep without image fields for certain dossier item types) unchanged.
To add the Image field to the new view of responses to a dossier:
- Open Profit.
- Go to: General / In & OutSite / Template.
- Open the properties of the appropriate template. In this example you open the Responses to client record template for InSite.
The page(s) based on this template determine which fields are shown in InSite in the overview of the responses to dossier items.

- Click on the action: Adjust view to add the field to the current view.

You now go to the data collection wizard. Leave the description of the page as it is.

- Click on Yes in the message about the speed of the page.
- Click on Yes when asked if you want to publish the draft.
- Click on: OK.
3. Add a page part for responses to a dossier item in InSite
If you want to show different response overviews for different dossier item types and you have created one or more pages for this purpose, you add these new pages as page parts.
To add a page part for responses to a dossier item in InSite:
- Open InSite in the Site management mode.
- Go to the properties of the dossier item of the type for which you want to create a new view as page part.
If you want different response overviews for other dossier item types, you perform this procedure again from the properties of another dossier item type.
- Click on: Edit.
- Click on: Layout.
- Click on New for Page parts.
- Select Onderdeel uit bestaande pagina.
- Enter a title for the new page part. For example, Reacties bij dossier met afbeelding/silhouet.
- Select the correct page in Part. In this example, the new Reacties bij dossier (met afbeelding) page.
Select Responses to client record if you want to add the supplied view.
Profit then populates the Page type and Page fields.
- Click on: Create.
- Click on: Save draft.
- Click on: Publish.
- Click on: Exit edit.
You now see the initial version of the new page part with the responses. The view is of the Extended view overview type. In this view the columns are displayed in the same order as the fields in the data collection. You can change the properties of the view.
4. Display responses to a dossier differently in InSite
You can display the responses to dossier items differently in the response overview. To do so, you change the properties of the page part. Several types of overviews are available: extended view, simple view and list. In all overview types, the image (from the person’s details) is visible. Only in the List and Extended view overview types, a silhouette is visible if no image is available. This is only possible in InSite.
Note:
If you do not want to display an image in the response overview for certain dossier item types (while you do want to show it for others), you must add a new page with an image and change its view.
For the list view, specific settings are available related to images:
- An image is always displayed as the first element if this field is included in the data collection, regardless of its position in the data collection.
- For this overview type only, you can specify how many fields Profit should display on the line for each response. This is related to the position of the field in the Fields in the data collection. If an image is present in the data collection, the number in this field is exclusive of the image field.
- In the list view of the response overview, Profit shows the submission date using a relative description. For example, 'Just now' or '2 hours ago'.
To display responses to a dossier differently in InSite:
- Open InSite in the Site management mode if you have not already done so.
- Reopen the properties of the dossier item for which you want to display the image in the responses.
- Click on: Edit.
- Click on: Layout.
- Select the page part with the responses. In this example this is Reacties bij dossier met afbeelding/silhouet. This could also be the default page part Responses.
- Click on: Properties.
- Change Overview type to List if you want to specify the number of fields to be displayed.
- Select a value for Format of image view if you want to display the image larger or smaller than it appears now.
- Enter a value in: Number of fields per line.
If there is an image in the data collection, Profit always displays it. The number then applies to the other fields.
- Select the No text over image check box if you do not want to display the next field, for example the date, above the image of the user.
- Click on: Modify.
- Click on: Save draft.
- Click on: Publish.
- Click on Yes in the message.
- Click on: Exit edit.
You see the responses in the list view. For users for which an image is not available, a silhouette is shown. The time is relative, for example ‘2 hours ago’. The date is above the image because you have not specified you do not want that in the properties.
