Add a page
You add a page as a document or as a page. A document is based on a document template. You add and maintain these document templates yourself.
Profit gives you access to various default page types. You cannot add page types yourself. A page type displays information about Profit data. For instance, if you add the overview of the Contact person page type to your site, visitors see the overview of all the Contact persons present in Profit. This overview is automatically updated.
You decide yourself which page type you want to activate on your site.

Description
You decide for yourself which page type you want to add on your site.
Which options do you choose when adding a page
- Document
A site manager (and in InSite an author too) can add documents. You can link workflows to documents. You can also assign authors, readers and reviewers to the document template. There are three ways to add a document:
- Create a file as a document
By doing this, you link a file you open as an attachment.
- Link as a document
Here you link a URL link.
- New document
This allows you to create a page you can compose yourself.
- Create a file as a document
- Overview page
You use this option to display an overview (view) of the selected part.
- Portal page
You use this option if you want to display an overview of multiple separate parts on a single page. It is an empty page you configure yourself.
- Downloadable file
You use this option if you want to create a link to a file a visitor can download (such as an annual report or a brochure).
- External page
You use this option to specify a website's URL. When a visitor clicks on the link, he is taken directly to the linked website.
- Page
You use this option for an integration page and a site map.
- Cockpit page
You use this page type in InSite to display a published analysis.
