Configure the disposal fee

The disposal fee is a surcharge on commercial used, sold articles that must be recycled.

Description

In order to charge the Dutch disposal fee, the delivery address must be in the Netherlands. The determining factor for this is the physical delivery of the products and not the invoice address.

In Profit, you add this surcharge as an article with the Packaging subtype. You link this article to an article for which the stock is tracked.

Normally, no VAT is calculated for packaging. VAT is calculated for the disposal fee, based on the VAT data in the properties of the disposal fee.

In the journalising, the disposal fee (excl. VAT) is journalised separately for each article group.

Before you can use this functionality, you must first activate the function.

Because the disposal fee must be journalised, you set up the integration with Profit Financial. For this purpose you configure the article group in which you are going to include the new Disposal fee article. You do this by selecting the correct ledger account in the article group. If necessary, you can first add this ledger account, for example a ledger account called Verwijderingsbijdragen.

Procedure

• Activate the disposal fee

  To be able to add and use packagings, returnable packagings and disposal fees, you must first activate the Wrapping/packaging/disposal fee functionality.

• Set up integration with Financial for the disposal fee

  The disposal fee is charged to sales contacts via the orders. The disposal fee is reserved in Profit and paid later.

• Add a disposal fee

  The disposal fee is a surcharge on commercial used, sold articles that must be recycled. In order to charge the disposal fee, the delivery address must be in the Netherlands. The determining factor for this is the physical delivery of the products and not the invoice address.

• Link articles to a disposal fee

  Per article and per unit, you link the disposal fee to all articles for which a disposal fee is payable.

• Change the entry layout for the disposal fee

  You can view the fields for the disposal fee in the entry layout using the Packaging button. In addition, you can add the Disposal fee amount field to the footer of the entry layout.
