View the basic unit

The basic unit is the smallest stock unit that is used for an article/item. The quantity of the basic unit is always one. You enter the basic unit when you add the item.

The basic unit is the determining factor for the stock valuation of the article. When valuating stock there is always a conversion to one basic unit. Both the transfer price and the cost price are also linked to the basic unit.

You can change the basic unit of the article subsequently.

To view the basic unit:

  1. Go to:Order Management / Item / Article.
  2. Open the properties of the article..
  3. Go to the tab: General.

In the Basic unit field, you see the current basic unit, which is Stuks.
