Add and authorise contact persons for OutSite
If the customer is a company, you give the contact person (of the company) rights. Profit is not supplied with any Contact / Authorisation roles. You can add and maintain these yourself.
You add an authorisation role or roles to a person. An example of a contact of an organisation is the accountant who takes care of the declarations for the organisation. If he/she logs on as a contact of the organisation, this accountant sees the dossier of the organisation and his/her own personal dossier.
When you add a new contact person, you immediately give him/her access to the portal.
To assign an authorisation role to a new contact person:
- Go to:
- CRM / Organisation/person / Organisation/person
- Order Management / Purchase / Purchase contact.
- Open the properties of the organisation..
- Go to the tab: Contacts.
- Click on: New.
- Select the contact type Person in organisation.
- Click on: Next.
- Complete the fields.
- Do not select the Provide values for additional person fields check box.
- Click on: Next.
- Complete the fields.
- Click on: Next.
- Select the Allow this person access to shielded part of the portal(s) check box.
Note:
This step is not displayed if the contact is already linked to a person who already has rights to [portals] as a user. The e-mail address cannot be changed. After the wizard has been completed, you can change the e-mail address in the person properties.
- Click on: Next.
- Select the authorisation role(s) that apply for this person. If you do not select any role, the person only has access to the functionality that is available for all logged-on persons.
- Click on: Next.
- Complete the remaining fields.
- Click on: Finish.
