Add a wage component

To add a new wage component, you can activate or copy a wage component in Profit.

Description

You can copy wage components in Profit for the purpose of creating a new wage component. This is not possible for wage components maintained by AFAS. You can however copy wage components that are classified as part of the Template group.

You cannot copy all wage components. The reasons for this are as follows:

• A number of wage components contains statutory calculations. These may not be changed.
• A number of wage components always assumes a certain value (from a parameter or calculation basis). Because you cannot change or copy the wage component, AFAS ensures that Profit always assumes the correct value.
• AFAS maintains the wage components that cannot be copied. The benefit is that you do not need to concern yourself with this.

Procedure

• Activate a wage component

  To include a wage component in the wage calculation, you must activate the wage component.

• Add a wage component

  You can add a wage component by making a copy of a wage component.
