Payroll Auditor
In many cases, you use analyses to perform a check on the salaries. For example, you can check whether an employee is incorrectly receiving a travel expense allowance or whether an employee's wage is incorrectly processed based on the green table. You can also check for sudden salary increases for an employee. These checks take a lot of time as they are not part of the regular process.
That is why you now have the Payroll Auditor. The Payroll Auditor warns you in advance when a situation occurs in the salary processing that requires your attention. This gives you a better grip on the salary processing, it increases the quality and makes the time-consuming checks and analyses a thing of the past!
Advantages:
- Automated checks
- Grip on the quality of the salary processing
- Option to add your own checks

Description
The Payroll Auditor uses audit components. The audit components contain parameters in which you record threshold values. The audit components do not guarantee that your salary processing is error-free, but they are a tool to help you get a better grip on the salary processing and reduce the number of errors.
We supply default audit components in the CLA. The first 70 audit components were supplied in the CLA Update with version 2015.01.01 and activated as from 1 February 2015. In CLA Update 2015.02.01 we supply new audit components.
From now on, for every CLA Update we will check whether we have to add sector or CLA specific audit components. If you find an audit component missing, please mail us your idea. Keep in mind, however, that an audit component is only feasible if Profit can calculate a value.

We supply the following audit components:

Calculation basis
If you see a for a calculation basis, the audit component uses a calculation basis. That means that you can determine which wage components should be included in this calculation basis and, if applicable, your own payroll configuration.
Example:
In the case of a reimbursement for a work placement, you do not want to calculate a reservation for the holiday allowance, but perhaps not the deduction for the personnel association either. In that case, you determine which wage components are included in the calculation basis.
When activating an audit component, first consult the explanation. The explanation indicates, for example, if you have to add a threshold value.
You can always change a threshold value in an audit component activated by default.
Note:
Each wage component has a comment in which the operation of the audit is explained. Always take a look at this explanation on the Comment tab in the properties of the wage component in the CLA.

If you create your own payroll configuration on a regular basis, you can create your own audit components. We recommend you first create the audit components in a test environment.
If you are not experienced in creating and maintaining your own payroll configuration, we recommend you contact an AFAS Consultant or AFAS Expert.
Note:
Each wage component has a comment in which the operation of the audit is explained. Always take a look at this explanation on the Comment tab in the properties of the wage component in the CLA.
