When entering hours you use work types to indicate which work or activities were conducted.

Description

You can use work types when you enter hours to indicate the nature of the work or activities conducted.

Example:  Work types for which a physical action is needed

• Carpentry
• Wage tax objection
• Administrative work
• Writing a report

Procedure

• Add a work type

  You add work types to indicate the nature of the work or activities conducted in hours and not in costs.

• Add costs

  Costs are things you want to charge to your customers. Examples include kilometres, drawings, reports, lunches, contributions to shipping costs, etc. You can track costs for purchases and sales, but you cannot track their stock. You can of course invoice them and include them in quotations..

• Show hours entered per work type in Profit Calendar

  You can show the hours entered via actual costing on a work type in the employee’s or user’s calendar. For this you have to configure the Integration with Profit Calendar.

• Surcharge on work type example

  Sometimes a work type surcharge has to be calculated. In Profit Projecten you can use the combined discount functionality across groups, this enables you to calculate surcharges per work type.
