Prepare packing slips for scanning
You can use the barcode scanner to pick packing slips. The scanner software directs the warehouse employee and the employee himself does not have to make any choices. Profit determines which packing slip needs to be processed and which articles need to be picked. The user cannot change this on the barcode scanner.
In the packing slip view, you can use multiselect to prepare one or more packing slips for use on the barcode scanner.
Note:
Only active, not already reported and unblocked packing slips can be prepared for scanning.
To determine the article location:
If the Location field has been completed for an article and you have activated the Tracking stock at warehouse locations functionality, then when Profit determines the location, it checks first to see if stock is present in the specified preferred location. During the entry of a goods receipt, this location is proposed in the sub-entry program. You can however change the location. When entering stock the preferred warehouse is also proposed. You can modify this preferred location.
If applicable, you can use a setting on the Actemium barcode scanner to allow the picker to change the location from which he picks the article.
To prepare packing slips for scanning:
- Go to: Order Management / Sales process / Packing slip.
- Select the packing slips that you want to prepare for picking using the barcode scanner.
- Click on the action: Prepare for scanning.
The selected packing slips that have been prepared for scanning are moved to the Order Management / Sales process / Packing slip scanner menu. In this menu you can undo the preparation of the packing slip using the appropriately named action button.
All the packing slips in this view with the Prepared for scanning or Partly scanned status are retrievable on the scanner for picking purposes.
You can use the Change picker and Change priority actions to influence the sequence in which the packing slips are completed. If you have not entered a picker or priority then the packing slips are presented on the scanner in packing slip number sequence (ascending).
