Create a recurring appointment in Profit Calendar

You add a recurring appointment once and it is repeated according to a fixed pattern.

Example:

You add an appointment that has to recur weekly on Thursdays and Fridays from now to 31 December of the current year.

To create a recurring appointment:

  1. Add an appointment.
  2. Go to the tab: Recurrency.
  3. Select the Recurring appointment check box.
  4. Enter the Range end date.
  5. This is the last date the recurring appointment will be added to. In Profit it is mandatory to have an end date for a range.
  6. Select the check boxes for the days on which the appointment has to recur. By default Profit selects the check box for the day corresponding to the start date of the appointment.
  7. The Recurrence pattern interval is the number of weeks between the appointments. The default value for this field is 1 (weekly).

To change a recurring appointment:

As soon as you, as the owner of a recurring appointment, change the start date of this appointment, or if you click on Terminate repeat in the appointment, the following changes are made:

  • Change the start date of the appointment

All individual appointments from the past that fall before the new start date get the Deviating status. All individual future appointments that fall before the new start date are deleted.

  • Change the end date of the recurring appointment

All invitees receive notifications for the additional appointments.

  • Terminate recurrence

If you click on Terminate repeat in an appointment, all individual appointments in the future are deleted.

  • If you change one of the remaining fields of a recurring appointment, you have to specify the effective date of the changes. Profit only modifies the appointments on or after the change date.

All invitees again receive a notification for all individual appointments that have been changed. These notifications can also be accepted/declined individually or as a range.

To terminate a recurring appointment:

For a recurring appointment you have the following options:

  • Delete one appointment

Right-click on the appointment and select Delete this appointment.

  • Delete a range
    1. Right-click on the appointment and select Appointment properties.
    2. Click on: Modify pattern.
    3. Click on the action: Terminate repeat.

      Profit starts a wizard.

    4. Enter the required effective date.
    5. Click on: Finish

Profit will delete all appointments after the effective date.
