Integration of Profit Calendar and other Profit components
Because Profit Calendar integrates with various Profit components additional information is available and you have a complete picture of the user's availability. You can only integrate with Profit components that you hold a licence for.
Description
The extra options for calendar integration only apply for users who are linked to an employee. You must enable the integration once-only at environment level.
Integration of calendar and notifications (Profit HR/Payroll)
Employees see invitations to appointments in both Profit Windows and InSite. Employees can accept, decline (with reason) or provisionally accept appointments. Unlike Microsoft Outlook, AFAS Profit can include multiple owners for an appointment.
- Profit HR
Profit Calendar can display leave days, absence days, timetable days and public holidays as 'integration appointments'. This gives you a complete picture of availability.
Calendar and dossier integration
If you record an appointment in Profit Calendar, this appointment is immediately visible in the contact person's dossier and in your Outlook Calendar. You can record an appointment in various places in Profit using the F8 action button:
- Via the properties of the dossier item,
- From organisations, people, sales contacts, etc.
Calendar and actual costing integration (Profit Projects)
Profit Calendar can show appointments based on the actual costing, so that you can see which projects the employee has worked on.
Calendar and courses integration (Profit CRM)
You can show courses for participants and teachers in Profit Calendar.
Preparation
- Add appointment type
Add an appointment type for the component for which you have recorded the integration.
- Activate Profit Calendar integration
You have to activate integration before Profit Calendar is filled; record this in the environment settings. If you enable a specific integration, Profit fills the calendars with appointments from the integration date. This may take some time.
Procedure
- Calendar and Profit HR / Profit Payroll integration
Configure the integration of Profit HR and Profit Payroll withProfit Calendar. Profit Calendar can display public holidays and scheduled days per user. In addition, Profit Calendar can display leave and absence.
- Calendar and project actual costing integration
Configure the integration of Profit Calendar and actual costing projects. This results in actual costing lines being displayed as appointments in Profit Calendar.
- Calendar and courses integration
If you use the course administration in Profit CRM you can display the courses, participants and teachers in Profit Calendar.
- Deactivate Profit Calendar integration
If you no longer wish to display certain appointments in Profit Calendar, deactivate the integration concerned.
