View tasks

You check whether the tasks have been carried out correctly.

You can view the tasks that have been run in the environment in which the tasks are scheduled. You can also view tasks via the queue and the central queue. The central queue is only available in the central login environment and shows the tasks from all the environments.

If you clear tasks, they are also removed from the central queue.

If you run an analysis using a scheduled task, the analysis is carried out using Microsoft Excel. Any error messages in Excel are not reported in Profit. In Profit, the task's status is Running, in which case, delete the task manually from the queue or stop Microsoft Excel via Windows Task Manager. Carry out the analysis manually to track down the error.

To view tasks per environment:

  1. Go to: General / Management / Task scheduler.

Per task, you can see when they have been run and when they will be run again.

  2. Open the task properties.
  3. Go to the tab: History.
  4. In the history you see all the times at which the task was carried out, with the status. For tasks that were not completed successfully, you can upload error information using the Error information action.

To view tasks via the queue:

  1. Go to:
    • General / Management / Queue (for each environment)
    • General / Environment / Central environment / Central queue (in the central login environment; not available in AFAS Online)
  2. All tasks are shown. These are scheduled tasks and tasks that were started manually and were placed in the queue.

Scheduled tasks are placed in the queue at the time that they need to be run. If a scheduled task needs to be run in the course of a day, for instance, it will not yet be visible in the queue.
