Outlook link (without Microsoft Exchange)

If you do have Microsoft Outlook, but do not have Microsoft Exchange, you can use the Outlook link in Profit. This allows you to synchronise Profit Calendar and Outlook Calendar, including integration appointments that are recorded in Profit Calendar.

Note:

This method is not supported in AFAS Online.

You must manually synchronise appointments between Profit Calendar and Outlook Calendar.

You do not use the Profit Exchange link with this synchronisation method.

Description

You can use the Profit Calendar or the Profit Calendar and Microsoft Outlook calendar combination even without the Exchange link, albeit with reduced functionality.

Normal appointments in the Profit Calendar or in Microsoft Outlook are automatically synchronised with the other calendar without Exchange. However, when this is done the integration appointments (the leave requests, absence entries, course events and actual costing) cannot be synchronised automatically for every user.

So, if you use Microsoft Outlook alone, the user has to manually synchronise the integration appointments.

In Profit Calendar you have to synchronise integration appointments with Microsoft Outlook manually if you use the Exchange link while you do not have an Exchange server.
