Configure users for Outlook link (without Microsoft Exchange)
For this link the Profit username must be correctly included in Microsoft Outlook. Synchronisation takes place on the user's local PC.
The following conditions apply to allow synchronisation to be performed properly:
- The Profit username must exist in the Outlook contacts.
- Only one contact can be be found for the Profit username in the Outlook contacts.
- The name of the contact that is found must be identical to the name of the user currently logged on in Outlook.

Step 1: View and if necessary change the name of the user currently logged on in Outlook
Ensure that your name in your e-mail account in Outlook is the same as your Profit username.
Change the name of the user:
- Check what your Profit username is (you use it when you log on in Profit).
- Open Microsoft Outlook.
- Go to: 'Extra / Account settings'.
- Go to the tab:'E-mail'.
- Click on: 'Change E-mail account'.

- Click on 'Your name' to change the name of the currently logged on username to the PROFIT username if it is different.
- Click on:'Next'.
- Complete the wizard.
Change the name of the user in the contacts
Only one contact for the Profit username can be found in the Outlook contacts and the name of the contact that is found must be identical to the name of the user currently logged on in Outlook.
Change the name of the user in the contacts:
- In Microsoft Outlook, open the 'Contacts' menu option at the bottom left.
- Select yourself from the contacts. You must only appear once here under the Profit username.

- Click on the 'Display as' field.
- Enter your Profit username.
Check whether the name is found
Check whether the name is found:
- Add a new e-mail message.

- Enter your Profit username in the 'To' line.
- Click on: 'Check names'.
