Import default value for a field

For a field you can set the default value of the field. Each imported record will be given the same value in the field in question.

Menu fields in Profit have a default value. This value automatically applies if you add a new piece of data. Some fields do not have default values, like certain fields that are not mandatory.

Set import definition:

  1. Go to the import function.
  2. Go to the view with the import fields.
  3. Select the field on the left.
  4. Select Default value on the right.

After you set the default value for a field, you also see the Action and Value columns change for the selected field on the right-hand side of the window with the Profit fields:
