Record general data of an import definition:

Set the name of the import definition and a number of general settings.

Note:

Always complete the wizard to this step and the next step. The wizard then always saves.

Record general data of an import definition:

  1. Enter the name of the import definition in the Description field.
  2. Select the correct options:
    • Users can change the file to be imported

You can change the name of the import file prior to importing (again).

    • Users may change the log file

You can change the name of the log file (including rejected lines) before importing.

    • Save import filename in import definition

The name of the import file is saved in the import definition. This may be important if you regularly import a file with the same file name and you want to use the same import definition for this.

    • Save log file in import definition

The name of the log file is saved in the definition, so that you do not have to read it each time. This may be important if you want to start using the import definition more often. In this case you do not have to enter a file name for the log file each time.
