System requirements for the Profit Communication Center

System requirements for the Profit Communication Center (PCC). These apply to AFAS Online and to a local (on-premises) installation:

• Integration with InSite

  If you are using InSite, you can submit dossier items from Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook or Windows Explorer. You can also view analyses using InSite.

  If you do not have InSite, only the following basic functionality is available: maintain and view analyses, publish cockpits and export views to Excel.

  You need the PCC to be able to use the Document generator. On AFAS Online, you also need the PCC for maintaining fiscal reports.

• Installation for each user

  Each user who wants to use the Profit Communication Center has to install this application on his workstation. This applies for AFAS Online and for local installations. The Profit Communication Center is a Windows application that can only be installed on a Windows system that is supported by AFAS.

• Microsoft Office

  Every user's workstation should have a Microsoft Office version supported by AFAS for editing analyses, documents (using the Document generator), and attachments (Word/Excel) to dossier items.

  If you want to be able to open analyses and are using Microsoft Excel 2007 or Excel 2010, you must install Microsoft's Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (version 10.0.60724). This is not necessary for other supported versions of Microsoft Excel.Starting with Profit Update 2016.2.04, the Setup for the PCC automatically checks if Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime is installed. If this is not the case, VSTO is installed automatically.

• Profit Web services

  The Profit Web services must be accessible. For AFAS Online, you use the Profit Web services from AFAS Online and these are managed by AFAS. For a local installation, you specify the location of the Profit Web services in the Central Login Environment (CLE).

  Ohter systems such as Google Chrome and Mac OS are not supported.

• The system on which you install the PCC must have .NET Framework 4.6.2. installed. If this is not the case, this .NET version will be installed automatically.

  If you install the PCC after the transfer to Profit 16, The system on which you install the PCC must have .NET Framework 4.8 installed. If this is not the case, this .NET version will be installed automatically.
