Predefined field

Predefined fields are fields supplied together with Profit with the correct field settings, but that have not yet been used. After activating via the Management tool they will be visible in the Fields tab for the function. Predefined fields are not available everywhere. They are, however, available for a number of files for Employee, Employer, 'IB' Client and 'VpB' Client.

Activate predefined field:

  1. Go to: General / Management / Management tool.
  2. Open the function group for which you want to activate a predefined field, for example Employee (Profit).
  3. Select a file, for example Employee. The fields already available for the selected part are shown on the right-hand side of the window.
  4. Click New at the top of the Fields window.
  5. Click on: Next
  6. Select Predefined fields.
  7. Click on: Next

    You then see an overview of the available fields (grouped) and if you click them, of the available predefined fields.

  8. Select a field on the left.
  9. Select one or more predefined fields on the right.
  10. Click on: Next
  11. You now see a summary window.
  12. Click on: Finish

    You can now see the predefined field in the Fields tab. The predefined field is already fully configured in terms of the field settings.

  13. If required, add a custom tab first if you have not already done this.
  14. Add the predefined field to the custom tab.

You can now start using the predefined field.
