Add a general selection to a campaign

In this course, you determine the target group of the campaign using a general selection from your database. Using the campaign selection, you select all contacts that the campaign will be directed at. Profit adds the contacts to the campaign when you link the campaign selection to the campaign action.

Note: 

The result of the selection for a campaign always is a list of contact persons.

To add a new general selection:

  1. Go to: General / Configuration / Selection.
  2. Click on: New.
  3. Select the destination Contact (you always select Contact for a selection for a campaign).
  4. Click on: Next
  5. You now see the Contact selection view:

  6. The view must meet the following requirements:
    • The view contains all contacts you need for the campaign.
    • If it is necessary to apply a filter, the filter fields must be available. For this purpose create a new view that includes the necessary fields or select one of the other available views.
  7. Click on: Next
  8. Enter a description for the selection.
  9. Add a filter.
  10. Click on: Refresh.

    You now see a list of all contacts selected based on the filter. If you adjust the filter, the Refresh button reappears and you can check the result again.

  11. Click on: Finish

Once you have added the campaign and the campaign action, you link this general selection to the campaign action.
