Receive a message with a bank statement via Communication Service (AFAS Online)

If you use the bank link, you receive a bank statement via a communication message in the communication service in Profit (with message subtype BIS_BAS Bankafschrift (SWIFT)). Messages ready in the communication service can be received and processed manually, but generally this process is automated using a scheduled task in Profit. You only perform the steps below if you do not process messages automatically using a scheduled task.

Note:

The procedure below or a scheduled task for Send and receive communication service only processes messages. The procedure automatically imports a message with a bank statement. You still need to perform the processing of the imported bank statement yourself.

Receive a message with a bank statement via the communication service and execute

  1. Go to:General / Communication service / Send and receive (with message sub type BIS_BAS Bankafschrift (SWIFT)).
  2. Go to:
    • General / Communication service / Process messages

      This step processes all the communication messages in the environment, or;

    • General / Communication service / Communication message, select the message with the bank statement that you want to process and click on the action: Process the message.

      This step only processes the selected communication message, or;

    • Financial / Enter / Bank statement.

      This step only processes a communication message with a bank statement when you open this bank statement view and you have received a message with a bank statement via the communication service. Profit then automatically imports the bank statement.
