(Basic) roles for workflows

By default, a number of basic roles are available to be assigned to tasks in the workflow.

  • Sender

You link the Sender basic role to the user who submits the dossier item to the workflow. If you select the Sender basic role for a task in the workflow, the dossier item appears again as a task for the sender of the dossier item.

  • Resp. person

You can use the Resp. person basic role to ensure that the dossier item appears as a task for the user selected as the responsible person. You can only select a responsible user if you have selected the Resp. person check box in the properties of the dossier item type.

  • Employee

You can use the Employee basic role to ensure that the dossier item appears as a task for the user selected as Destination. In that case, the dossier item is automatically placed in the dossier of the employee. You can only select an employee if you have specified that Employee is allowed as destination on the Destination tab of the properties of the dossier item type.

  • Current destination substitute, Current sender substitute, Current responsible person substitute

If the user has a leave entry or an absence entry that includes the date, a task becomes active, you want the task to be completed by a substitute.

This means that once you submit a dossier item, the various users playing a role in the workflow have already been selected.
