Change a menu item
You change a menu item if, for example, you want to give it a different style so that the emphasis is on that particular menu item. If a page is linked to the menu item, you can also select a different style so that the emphasis is on that particular menu item.
To change a menu item:
In this example you add the related link Incident melden under Direct naar. You then have a button on the customer portal that allows you to submit an incident.

- Open the site.
- Log on with the username and password.
- Click on the arrow after the username in the top right corner of the window.
- Click on: Site management.
- Click on: Menu in the Site frame.
- Open the properties of the menu item.

In the properties of the menu item you can, among other things, change the description, link a page, customise the display of a page and add or delete related references.
- Change the required fields.
- Click on: New under Related references.
- Select the Aanmaken Supportincident page.
- For Place in group, select the Go directly to option.
From the Customer Portal menu, you then open the linked page with one press of the button.
- Enter the deviating text Incident melden.
- Click on: Create.
- Click on: Modify.
- Close the menu.
Profit now updates the menu item. You return to the home page.
- Close the site management menu.
It may take a few minutes to update the menu. If you do not see the 'Directly to' link yet, you can still proceed with the next exercise.
- Click on: Klantportal.
You now have two direct links:
