Set up a template

For a template, you can change a number of settings. You cannot add or completely adjust a template.

Set up a template:

  1. Go to: General / In & OutSite / Template.
  2. Open the properties of a template.
  3. Go to the tab: General.
  4. Select the Apply context check box if you want to copy data from another page to this template's pages.

Specify the page from which the context is to be copied. The context determines the active menu item and the contents of the context-dependent banners. The context is only copied if the page itself does not have a context, such as pages that can only be opened from a hyperlink or overview and not from a menu. For a template, you can also specify a page from which context must be copied to all pages of the template. At the template level, you can also set that the context should not be applied to pages of the template.

  5. Select the page from which you want to copy the context in Copy from page.
  6. Go to the tab: New page functionality.

On this tab you can link new pages to the template. If you link a new page to the template, it is automatically linked to the functionality.

  7. Go to the tab: Pages.

This tab shows which pages are linked to the template.

  8. Click on: OK.
