Copy a wage component

You can add a wage component by making a copy of a wage component.

Before you copy a wage component check to see whether the wage component already exists in the CLA. The Wage components (not activated) view should be used to check this. If the wage component already exists, you must activate the wage component in Profit. Once the wage component has been activated, it can be used.

You can copy the following wage components for the purpose of creating a new wage component:

  • Wage component templates

Wage component templates can be recognised from their Template category. The templates come with the proper calculation bases. If AFAS changes the calculation basis of the template this will also be applied to the already copied wage component templates.

  • Specific wage components

Profit displays your own wage components in a deviating colour.

    Note:

You cannot copy wage components to another environment in Profit.

Copy a wage component

Before you copy a wage component template, you must first determine which template serves as the basis for the new wage component. This is determined by first making a selection from a group. The following groups of wage component templates are available:

  • Taxable deductions
  • Taxable allowances
  • Additions
  • Special components
  • Days/hours
  • Incidental wages
  • ‘Loonheffing’ and ‘SV’ premiums
  • Non-taxable deductions
  • Non-taxable allowances
  • Pensions and insurances
  • Calculation rules
  • Salary

You can add a wage component in which you create your own formula. To do this you make a copy of the 100.009.900 'Flexibele rekenregel' wage component template. AFAS does not update the calculation bases in these templates.

After copying the wage component you must configure the journal structure for the wage components for which the journalising has been configured. This completes the journal structure.

To copy a wage component:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / CLA.
  2. Open the CLA properties.
  3. Go to the tab: Wage component.
  4. Open the view: Wage components (extended).
  5. Enter Template in the quick filter for Category.
  6. Enter the desired group in the quick filter of the Group column.
  7. Select the wage component you want to copy.

Use the template or your own wage components to create a new wage component.

  8. Click on the action: Copying wage component.

Profit launches the wizard to copy the wage component.

  9. Select the wage component you wish to copy in the Original wage component field, if applicable.
  10. Click on: Finish.

Profit opens the properties of the new wage component.

  11. Make the required changes.
  12. Activate the wage component.
  13. Click on: OK.

Set up the journal structure after you have activated the wage component.

Change the parameter link

If there is a parameter link to a different wage component template, you should change this. To do this, first copy the linked wage component template before changing the link.

Example:

In the 'Salaris (Uit loondagen niet gewerkt Template)' wage component template, the 'Loondagen niet gewerkt Template' wage component template has been linked as a parameter. The following steps should now be carried out for the new wage component:

  • Copy the 'Salaris (Uit loondagen niet gewerkt Template)' wage component.
  • Also copy the linked 'Loondagen niet gewerkt Template' wage component.
  • In the 'Salaris (Uit loondagen niet gewerkt Template)' wage component change the parameter link to point to the new wage component that you created after copying the 'Loondagen niet gewerkt Template' wage component .

To change the parameter link:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / CLA.
  2. Open the CLA properties.
  3. Go to the tab: Wage component.
  4. Open the properties of the wage component.
  5. Go to the tab: Parameter.
  6. Select the parameter with the link to another wage component template. This link is evident from the word Template in the description of the parameter.
  7. Click on the action: Edit parameter.
  8. Select the new wage component that you copied to Parameter.
  9. Click on: OK.
