Avoiding duplicate wage entries

Profit can check for you whether you posted an entry twice (or more) to the same wage component for the same employee and the same employment. Since this can negatively affect performance, you can use the Warning on duplicate entry setting to specify for each wage component whether this is desired or not.

If you post multiple wage entries for an employee on the same wage component and the employee has a fixed value at the employee level for the wage component in question, then Profit calculates two times the fixed value. To prevent this, you ensure that Profit issues an alert when there is a duplicate wage entry.

To avoid duplicate wage entries:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / CLA.
  2. Open the CLA properties.
  3. Go to the tab: Wage component.
  4. Open the properties of the wage component.
  5. Go to the tab: Advanced.
  6. Specify whether Profit should issue a warning in the event of a duplicate entry.
  7. Click on: OK.
