Disable queue (local installation only)

This topic does not apply to AFAS Online. For AFAS Online the queue is always enabled, so tasks are processed in the most efficient way.

The rest of this description only applies if you have a local Profit installation.

For a local installation you can disable the queue in an environment. This enables you to perform new tasks from the workstation and these tasks no longer end up in the queue. Tasks that are still in the queue but have not yet been performed, can also be performed from the workstation.

For tasks that already are in the queue, the following applies:

  • If the queue is performing a task when you disable the queue, the queue completes the task.
  • The queue performs scheduled tasks. These are tasks that are in the queue, but have not been performed yet. If this is not what you want, delete these tasks from the queue. If you use the queue, you cannot disable the queue yourself.

To disable the queue:

  1. Go to: General / Environment / Management / Properties.
  2. Go to the tab: Activation.
  3. Deselect the Batch processing (place processes in queue) activation check box.
