Hour type

With the hour type you define the ‘Hourly rate' type that you use when entering the hours. With this you indicate, for example whether the hours worked are normal hours or overtime, or whether the work was conducted during special days/hours etc. The hour type can therefore serve to determine the level of the cost price and/or sales rate and the remuneration of hours in the salary administration.

Profit supplies a number of default hour types.

To add an hour type:

  1. Go to: Projects / Project / Hour type.
  2. Click on: New
  3. Complete the fields.

You can link hour types to wage components. If you link to a wage component you must also complete the Parameter and Hour type fields.

Among others, the Hour type is important for the cost price hourly salary calculation in Profit Retail and for processing salaries based on actual costing in Profit HR/Payroll.

  4. Do not select the Blocked for manual entry check box, if manual entry is allowed.

But if you use this hour type in the integration from Profit HR/Payroll, select this check box.

  5. Click on: Next
  6. If you are using Profit HR, you can complete the field used in the integration.
  7. Click on: Finish. (or press F7)
