Link warehouses to the correct stock administration

To work with multiple stock administrations your warehouses must be linked to the correct stock administration.

You cannot change which administration is linked to a warehouse if journal entries have already been made. If you wish to journalise an existing warehouse to another stock administration, you will have to create a new warehouse.

To view the administration linked to a warehouse:

  1. Go to: Order Management / Stock / Warehouse.
  2. Open the warehouse properties.
  3. Go to the tab: General.
  4. You will see which administration has been set under the Administration header in the Warehouse administration field.

To link a new warehouse to a new/alternative stock administration:

If you go from a situation with one administration with stock to a situation with multiple administrations with stock, you must add a new warehouse. During the process of adding the warehouse you link it to the new/alternative administration.

  1. Go to: Order Management / Stock / Warehouse.
  2. Click on: New
  3. Enter the administration.
  4. Complete the remaining fields.
  5. Complete the wizard.
  6. A message is displayed about the Stock integration type.
  7. Click on: OK

Transfer goods from the old warehouse:

After adding the new warehouse, you can transfer all or part of the goods from the original warehouse.

  1. Follow the standard procedure for transferring stock.

To block the old warehouse:

After you have transferred the goods from the old warehouse, you can block this if you don’t want to use it anymore.

  1. Follow the standard procedure for blocking a warehouse.
