Can I keep exchanging messages with the PIN of the ‘BAPI’ channel if I want to sent the declaration via Digipoort?
Exchange with the PIN is independent of the tax year. So you switch over from PIN to Digipoort in one go.
You will switch over by no later than 1 February 2014. After 1 February 2014, PIN communication will no longer be supported.
As soon as you have installed the digipoort certificate and configured the communication service, Profit will automatically send the VAT declaration over Digipoort starting from 1 January.

More information:
Why can’t I import a .pem certificate for exchanging messages over Digipoort?
If you received a file with the '.pem' extension from your certificate provider, then contact your certificate provider for a certificate and password generator. You need this in order to import the certificate into Profit.
The extension of the file you import into Profit is '.P12'.
Note:
U must always request a certificate based on PKCS #12 (P12).
Note:
The P10 and P7 types are not supported by Profit.
Note:
If you received a file with the '.PFX' extension, then change the extension to '.P12'.
When I test the connection with Digipoort, the following message appears: ‘Cannot establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel’.
This message appears for the user of the Digipoort certificate. You can resolve this by adding the certificate to your PC or server.
To import certificates:
- Go to: Windows menu/Start/Run/ mmc.
- Go to: File / Add/remove module.
- Select ‘Certificates' for available modules.
- Click on: Add.
- Select the ‘Computer account' check box.
- Click on: Next.
- Select the ‘Local computer' check box.
- Click on: Finish.
- Click on: OK.
- Go to: Certificates/Trusted publishers/Certificates.
- Go to: Action/All tasks/Import...
- Click on: Next.
- Select the file for the certificate.
- Click on: Next.
- Select the certificate archive (Trusted publishers).
- Click on: Finish.
- Repeat 11 to 16 for the ‘Trusted root certification authority’ archive as well.
Connection to digipoort results in error message: 'There is no valid certificate present that can be used to communicate via Digipoort'.
This message appears because the Digidentity certificate has the wrong format. The Digidentity website features a description of how to make this certificate suitable for importing into Profit.
Do I need to re-import the certificates every time I restore from a backup?
No, this is not necessary. The certificates are part of the backup. If you restored from a backup, you will also have the certificates again in Profit.
