Test the connection for in-service processing

If you have set up the communication profile, you can test the connection.

From the Profit application server, it must be possible to communicate with the AFAS WCF Web Service via an SSL connection (Protocol: HTTPS, Port: 443) to https://communicatieservice.afas.nl/serviceburo/. The test page is: https://communicatieservice.afas.nl/serviceburo/test.htm.

To be able to do this, the firewall must be correctly configured. If a Proxy Server is used, it may be necessary to set up the details for the proxy in Profit. This concerns the proxy address and any logon data.

To test the communication profile:

  1. Go to: General / Communication service / Communication profile.
  2. Select the communication profile.
  3. Click on the action: Test connection.

    You send a test message. After this, you receive a message stating that the connection has been completed without errors.

  4. If you receive an error message, you do the following:
    1. Run through the settings once again.
    2. Check your firewall settings.
    3. View the KnowledgeBase.
    4. Perform the Test connection action once again.

The setup of the communication profile is now ready.

You can now exchange messages via the communication service for the function that you have set.
