Add a title/salutation combination.

By default a number of combinations of title and salutation are available, two for organisations, the rest for persons. You can add new combinations yourself.

When adding and maintaining Organisations, Persons and Contact persons you select the title/salutation combination. Profit uses this title, for example, when generating letters.

In general the address forms corresponding to the titles, such as 'Esq.', are used very little in the correspondence. The exceptions are the military and the judiciary, where the form of address usually is stated with the titles.

Of course it makes sense to register a person's title in Profit if you know it. Because in daily correspondence, the general forms of address 'Dear Sir' and 'Dear madam' are used, you can change the salutation in the title/salutation table (for example, change 'Esq.' to 'Dear Sir'). In the Attn. line you can then still use the correct titles.
