Release a bank statement

If you have checked a blocked bank statement and you have resolved the errors, you can then release the statement for further processing.

Note:

With due regard to segregation of duties, the action for releasing bank statements is one that has to be authorised. You configure this using action authorisation.

To release a bank statement:

  1. Go to: Financial / Enter / Bank statement.
  2. Select the statement with the Blocked status.
  3. Click on the action: Release.

The status changes from Blocked to Loaded.

If you have accidentally released the bank statement, delete the statement and import it again.

The message displayed for the blocked and released bank statement is saved. If you want to delete the message, use one of the following methods:

  • After processing the lines, delete the bank statement.
  • Delete the bank statement, correct the balance of the account/journal and import the file again.
  • Delete the bank statement and import a corrected/new bank statement.
