Set up a site for mobile applications

In the settings, you determine whether the site is allowed to adapt to mobile screens. Select a background colour and a logo.

Through the theme you can set the colour of the navigation bar of the mobile site.

To set up a site for mobile applications:

  1. Use a PC.
  2. Open the site.
  3. Log on with the username and password.
  4. Click on: Site management.

    Ins_Sitebeheer opstarten (10)

  5. Click on: Layout.

  6. Go to the tab: General.

The title is used on both the standard site and the mobile site. On the standard site, the title appears on the browser tab; on the mobile site the title appears at the top of the site.

In the example below, the title is InSite.

  7. Select the Automatische presentatie voor mobiel check box if you are actually going to use the mobile site. If this check box is selected, the mobile site will automatically be used on mobile devices.

If not, you are not using a mobile site and the standard site is displayed on all device types.

This check box is selected by default. Deselect this check box while you are building the site and you do not yet want it to be visible on mobile devices.

  8. Go to the tab: Background.

Set the background colour of the mobile site. Use a colour that contrasts with the text colour (for example, use a white background and blue text).

You can also select a background image.

  9. Go to the tab: Logo.

If required, select a mobile logo. If you do not, the logo of the standard site is used.
