Replace a ledger account number by another number

Using this simple method, you replace a ledger account number by another ledger account number. For example, you replace '4000 by '4100'. In the below procedure you use a simple entry layout for this. You can also perform this action using the advanced entry layout with the Fixed value option.

To replace an account number by a fixed value:

  1. Go to: HR / Organisation / Employer.
  2. Open the employer’s properties.
  3. Go to the tab: Replacement ledger account.
  4. Click on the action: Maintenance.
  5. Select the Replacement line maintenance entry layout.
  6. Click on: OK.
  7. Select the account number you want to replace in Account number.
  8. Enter 4100 in Fixed value. This account number must be present in the financial administration.

  9. Click on the action: Example chart.
  10. Close the view with the example.
  11. Click on the action: Example JP.

You see a journal entry based on the last period processed or approved (if Profit cannot find a period, Profit does not display a sample journal entry).

  12. Close the view with the example.
