View and change rates

You can view and change an existing rate. You can change the start and end dates for the rate. However, you cannot delete the end date. You can also change the cost price or the sales price (but not both prices in one go).

You cannot change the calculation bases for the rate in the properties window.

Note:

In the event of a rate change, it is better to create a new rate than to change an existing rate. This way you build up a history of the rates and you can always trace which rate was applicable on which date.

To view and change rates:  

1. Go to:
   • Projects / Prices and rates / Cost price rate
   • Projects / Prices and rates / Sales rate
2. Open the properties of rate line.
3. Go to the tab: General.
   1. Open the properties of the rate, if you want to view or change an existing rate, or;
   2. Click on: New, if you want to add a new rate, while saving the history of the current rate.
4. Click on: OK.
