Add a subscription article without purchase

When you invoice a subscription article without purchase you invoice the same amount periodically.

Therefore you cannot link a normal article to this type of subscription article in order to charge one-off costs.

To add a subscription article without purchase:

1. Go to: Subscriptions / Subscription / Article.
2. Click on: New. 

   

3. Enter the Item code and the Description for the subscription.

   For subscription articles, you cannot edit the description again later in a line in the invoice, etc. As soon as you have selected a subscription article type, Profit disables the Changeable description setting if it is enabled.

4. Select the Article group for subscriptions.
5. Do not select the Track stock check box.

   Note: 

   The stock of a subscription article cannot be tracked. If you do select this check box, you cannot specify that the article is a subscription article.

6. Select a Basic unit.
7. Click on: Next. 

   

8. Select Subscription item without purchase for Sub-article type.

   You cannot link a normal article to a subscription article without purchase.

   Note: 

   If you are using one or more allocation axes in Profit Financieel, you can only set this up at the subscription (line) level.

9. Enter the Price effective date.

   Note:

   Until the date entered, Profit uses the default price of €0. It is therefore important that the effective date of the price is before the date that you are invoicing the subscription article.

10. Complete the price fields. You will also find these prices in the basic price list.
11. Click on: Next. 
12. If applicable, select a Purchase contact.
13. Click on: Next. 
14. Complete the fields.
15. Click on: Next. 
16. Click on: Finish.
