Log on as administrator

To manage Profit you log on as an administrator. You can log on as administrator when opening an environment.

If you use Windows authentication, you must be logged in to Microsoft Windows under the corresponding name. If you are not, the following message may appear: "You cannot log in as administrator, since you logged in to Windows with another user name."

To log on as administrator:

1. Exit Profit.

   Exit Profit using Alt+F4.

2. Start Profit.

   Note:

   Depending on the settings, you may be logged in to an environment automatically. In that case, go to General / Environment / Open to get to the login window.

3. Go to: Options / Log on as administrator.

   

   Profit shows the user name of the administrator. You added this administrator when you started up Profit for the first time after installation.

4. Enter the administrator's password.
5. Click on: OK.

   This will take you to Profit’s administrator mode. Administrator functions are under the Management menu option.
