Veldinstellingen beheerder
Field settings determine the behaviour of fields. As the administrator, you specify the field settings for all users. The field settings determine, for example, whether a field is mandatory, if changes to a field are permitted, etc.
Met veldinstellingen kun je de dagelijkse processen optimaliseren, fouten voorkomen en de consistentie van de bedrijfsgegevens vergroten.
Description
The field settings discussed here relate to the properties windows and the wizards. The following field settings are available at the administrator level:
- Set preferred value
- Display last selected value
- Make changeable
- Set as mandatory
- Make visible/invisible
- Force specific input
Example:
The Sector field for an organisation is not mandatory by default. However, this field is very important to the Afdeling Marketing, when they send out a mailing. Therefore, as administrator, you decide to make this field mandatory.
This means that the Sector field must be completed for every new organisation.
In addition to the field settings at the administrator level, you have the following options for recording field settings:
- Field settings per user
If the administrator has not defined any field settings for a particular field, users can define their own settings.
- Entry layout field settings
- Custom configuration field settings
The settings you specify for a dossier via the field settings, directly apply to all dossier item types. That is why Mandatory is not a meaningful field setting for dossier fields. What you can do is create custom fields specifically for a certain dossier item type and make those fields mandatory. Via the field settings you can then ensure that users are obliged to complete certain custom fields when submitting a dossier item for a workflow.
Procedure
- Authorise administrator field settings
You can only change the field settings specified by the administrator if you are authorised to do so.
- Set a field as mandatory
You can make a field mandatory for all users so that it always needs to be completed.
- Make a field visible/invisible
You can facilitate data entry by making unnecessary fields invisible.
- Undo administrator field settings
As administrator, you can undo field settings that you have recorded for a particular field. This applies to all users.
- Input assistant
You can use the input assistant to enforce specific input for a field.
