Structure competence levels

Competences have a level structure. You can determine the specific content (description) of the levels for each competence. The number of levels is the same for all competences and is determined during the initialisation. The way you will be using the levels is also defined in the settings. You have entered a generic description in the settings for each level. You can now enter specific level descriptions for each competence.

The number of levels is the same for all competences and is determined during the initialisation. However, it is possible to deviate from this number for individual competences. You want to, for example, use four levels, five for skill competences and three for knowledge competences. In this case, you must set the maximum number of levels to five in the settings. For the behavioural competences, the 5th level is not described and for the knowledge competences the 5th and 4th are not described.

To check and change the level descriptions:

  1. Go to: HR / Competence management / Configuration / Competence.
  2. Open the required competence.
  3. Go to the tab: Level.
  4. Open the properties of the required level and change the descriptions (if necessary). Default descriptions have already been entered for the Profit competences, but you must enter them yourself for your own competences.
