Change the usage options and presentation of the overview in InSite
You can display an overview in various ways, which you specify in the properties.
In the properties, you also determine:
- The default sorting, and whether the user can change it.
- Whether the user can use a filter (not available in the list view).
- Whether the user is allowed to export the overview to Microsoft Excel.

To adjust the properties of an InSite overview:
- Log on and start Site management.
- Open the overview page.
- Open the overview page
- Click on: Edit (in the Page frame).
- Click on: Layout in the Display frame.
- Click on: (the part with) the overview.
- Click on: Properties.
A window appears that allows you to change the presentation of the overview. The Overview type field shows the various presentation types.. Select Extended view in this field.
- Select a value in Overview type. You can determine the sorting of the data to be displayed for each type.
- Select the following check boxes if you want to make the options in question available to users:
- Sorting available
- Filter available
- Export to Excel
- Specify the default sorting for the data in the overview.
Select a field and the associated sorting. You can refine the sorting using extra sorting fields.
- Click on: Modify.
- Publish the page.
Note:
If the sorting specified by you is not reflected in the overview, you have previously performed a manual sort action on the overview. Such a sort action at the user level overrules the sorting specified in the view properties. For other users that have never sorted the overview manually, the default sorting does apply.
