Install OutSite

This is the OutSite installation procedure.

Description

The installation procedure depends on the situation:

• Profit via your own installation

  If you have installed Profit yourself, follow the procedure below to configure OutSite.

• Profit using AFAS Online

  If you are running Profit using AFAS Online and you want to work with OutSite, submit an incident for AFAS Online. The AFAS Online team handles the rest. In this case the procedure below does not apply to you.

  Note:

  AFAS makes a test site available to customers starting out with OutSite. The URL is 98765.afasonline.com. 98765 represents your participant number. AFAS does not offer any extras, such as virtual paths, on this test site.

  When you go live, you move the test site to your own domain with your own URL. For this, you submit an incident.

Preparation

• Minimum system requirements

  To be able to install Profit, it is important to keep the recommended minimum system requirements in mind. They ensure that Profit can work properly.

• Start using Profit (new customer only)

  You perform the implementation of Profit, including the setup of an OutSite site. We recommend new customers to start on AFAS Online right away. If you still have a local installation, you must have a Profit client/server installation.

Procedure

• SSL certificate

  The website must be accessible from the outside.

  Note:

  A root certificate has an expiry date. After the certificate has expired, the OutSite site no longer works. You are responsible yourself for sending a new root certificate to AFAS Online before the expiry.

• Import an OutSite licence
• Configure the Profit Application Service
• Configure the Profit Update Service
• Submit an incident for AFAS Online
• Import a file from AFAS Online
• Add a site
• Configure a test site
• Configure the authorisation in OutSite
• Add a portal user
