Replace a ledger account number by another number
Using this simple method, you replace a ledger account number by another ledger account number. For example, you replace '4000 by '4100'. In the below procedure you use a simple entry layout for this. You can also perform this action using the advanced entry layout with the Fixed value option.
To replace an account number by a fixed value:
- Go to: HR / Organisation / Employer.
- Open the employer’s properties.
- Go to the tab: Replacement ledger account.
- Click on the action: Maintenance.
- Select the Replacement line maintenance entry layout.
- Click on: OK.
- Select the account number you want to replace in Account number.
- Enter 4100 in Fixed value. This account number must be present in the financial administration.
- Click on the action: Example chart.
- Close the view with the example.
- Click on the action: Example JP.
You see a journal entry based on the last period processed or approved (if Profit cannot find a period, Profit does not display a sample journal entry).
- Close the view with the example.
- Click on: Finish.
