Parameters
A wage component uses parameters. The parameters assign values to the wage component that are used by the calculation rule to perform its calculations. This means that you do not really assign a value to a wage component, but rather to a parameter.

Description
Parameters can be broken down into two groups. The distinction can be determined by asking the question ‘What is the data element’s origin?’:
- Value parameters
The value is posted time-dependent to the parameter itself. Value parameters can belong to the wage component itself or they can belong to another wage component.
- Dynamic parameters
These parameters retrieve their value during the wage calculation from another wage element type, i.e. a wage component, calculation basis, master data element or a salary table.
Procedure
- View from a wage component
The Parameter tab shows which values are included in the wage component.
- View from the CLA
You can view the value parameters and dynamic parameters in the CLA.
- Value parameters
For this parameter you assign a value to the parameter itself. A value parameter can be linked to one or more wage components. This means that a change to this value can affect the calculation of multiple wage components.
- Dynamic parameters
For dynamic parameters, Profit retrieves the value from a different wage element in Profit.
